Arab satellites broadcasting English TV

There are two Arab satellites that can be accessed in Valencia Province with a 85 cm Dish. Both Satellites transmit similar English channels with Arabic subtitles (non removable). There are a number of 24 hr. movie channels. All the channels have Arabic subtitles which cant be removed. However after a few hours of viewing the viewer becomes accustomed to these sub-titles.

Nilesat

Nilesat is located at 7° West . There are 4 satellites at this location. You can not access all the channels in Spain. Please see the list below of English Channels that are accessible from Spain.

Badr

Badr (also known as Arabsat) is located 26 ° East. This satellite is the best satellite for viewers in Valencia Province. Please see the list

French Channels

Situated close to Nilesat is the satellite Atlantic Bird 3 at 5° West. This satellite has all the Free to view French Channels. With practice its quite easy to tune the dish with one lnb to access channels on both Nilesat and Atlantic Bird 5

Channel Lists

There are hundreds of Arabic Channels on these satellites but these channels have very good English 24/7 television. If you have an Illusion or Cristor Box go to this page for English instructions on how to scan for channels and create favorite lists This list was updated on May 15th 2011. Some of the Channels have been moved to the satellite Atlantic bird 4a. This satellite is within the Nilesat group of satellites but the beam doesn't include Spain without a big dish. Clearly Badr has the most English channels. Only use Nilesat when the dish location (trees and buildings etc.) precludes aiming at Badr or If you want the French FTA channels on Atlantic Bird 3 and Nilesat using the same LNB and Dish
