Enguera was built between the eleventh and twelfth centuries, the ruins of the castle are on a rocky hill near the town centre. You can access to it by car along a track that starts off the road to the left of the hermitage of San Antonio. Close to the town are important remains of an Iberian settlement some findings of which are displayed in the Municipal Museum. The Church of San Miguel and the Carmelite monastery are worth a visit.
