Sites to visit are the church which was reconstructed in the 18th Century - la Iglesia Parroquial de Nuestra Sra. de la Asunción, the Hermitage - la Ermita del Santísimo Cristo de la Salud, and la “Tinaja” - a grain storage silo dating from Arabic times and the bridge of La Marquesa which is over 200 years old. A tour of the surrounding countryside reveals beauty spots such as La Ceja del Rio Grande, the Barcal ravine, the chasm known as La Sima de Tous, the Pino and Carasqueta fountains, the dam along the Escalona river and a water well known as Pozo de la Quebradas, purportedly to have healing powers.
