Originally a church, college and convent of the Order of Militar del Temple, it was put to various uses after its sale by the Church authorities. It has suffered many changes and nowadays only the Convent (that housed the civil government in 1961) and the church are still recognisable. The Convent still retains its masonry work and austere cloister while the church has objects of great interest with its small temple and paintings by Felipe Fontana.
