Pouet de San Vicent 1, 46003, Valencia

Telf . 963 528 481

This is the birthplace of San Vicente Ferrer is the patron saint of Valencia. Though nothing is left of the actual house, a church and a chapel were built in its place. It is quite an interesting site, if only for how important it is to Valencia. The octagonal church has a spectacular entrance decorated with ceramics from the famous Manises. Each year, a festival is held to celebrate San Vicente Ferrer, a tradition that dates back to 1561. Families make their way to his birthplace, where children must drink from the Pouet de Sant Vicent (Saint Vicente's well) so that they'll learn to speak at an early age, won't suffer from tonsillitis, won't take the Lord's name in vain and won't swear !
