Ciutat Vella (in Spanish Old Town) is the name given to the district number one in the city of Valencia (Spain). It is delimited by the wall of the fourteenth century, that is, the streets of Columbus, Játiva and Guillem de Castro, the right bank of the River Turia from this street to the Rue de la Justice, the Puerta del Mar and again, Columbus. The population was 25 788 inhabitants in 2008
The district is sub-divided into the districts of :- La Seu, La Xerea, El Carme, El Pilar, El Mercat and Sant Francesc
