The two green sea turtles are housed in the Open Sea Exhibit where they have a diet of vegetables like bok choy, romaine lettuce, and green bell peppers, which are similar to their natural food of algae and sea grasses. They are also given access to sunlight in Order to produce vital vitamin D.

Green sea turtles are an endangered species, and their populations are threatened by habitat loss, plastic pollution, and illegal harvesting.
