A powerful leopard in the dry Vurhami Riverbed in the Southern Kruger national Park, South Africa is filmed stalking a young warthog and this unfolds “The leopard waited, utterly motionless. Then, in a split second, it exploded forward. Dust and stones flew as the leopard struck, gripping the warthog by the throat in one swift, practised movement. The struggle was intense — kicking, twisting, fighting for survival — but the leopard held firm, using its strength and precision to bring the warthog down.” Warthogs are a common part of a leopard's extensive diet.
