2 lions kill a hyena from a pack of 12 hyenas in Kruger National Park in South Africa. Lions and Hyenas are competing apex carnivores. Large clans of hyenas protect themselves from lions. However, when killing prey become more diffulcult, usually in the rainy season when the prey is spread out and not concentrated around waterholes and there is a scarcity of food, the hyenas become more aggressive and determined to steal the lions kill.
