Giant African bullfrogs lay dormant underground for around a year, awaiting the rains. As the rain seeps through the dry cracked earth the hungry bullfrogs emerge looking for prey and will eat anything that fits in their mouths - including rats, lizards and even birds. The giant African bullfrog can grow to the size of a football!
