Meet Damia the tortoise and see her laying eggs and feeding on some cactus pad which is very beneficial to tor-toises. Damia is a 37 Year old Sulcata tortoise. She lives with lots of other rescued tortoises and we see them being fed fresh produce and meet some baby tortoises as well.
The African spurred tortoise, also called the sulcata tortoise, is an endangered species of tortoise inhabiting the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and the Sahel.
