Meet Leo, a beloved, elderly Syrian brown bear at the Orphaned Wildlife Center in Michigan.
Leo is known for his gentle nature, love of toys, and interactions with his caretaker Jim Kowalczik. Leo is around 30 years old which makes him one of the world's oldest bears.
The brown bear (Ursus arctos) is a large bear native to Eurasia and North America. Of the land carnivorans, it is rivaled in size only by its closest relative, the polar bear, which is much less variable in size and slightly bigger on average.
