A pair of golden eagles arrive at their nest site high up on a rocky cliff in the Alto Tajo Nature Reserve in the Guadalajara Province of Spain.
The footage is captured from a live camera stationed at the nest which is in collaboration with the Spanish Rewilding Foundation - Rewilding Spain, which is developing the largest rewilding initiative in the Southern Iberian Peninsular.
The Alto Tajo Nature Reserve is home to various raptors, including the golden eagle, Bonelli's eagle, peregrine falcon, and Griffon vulture. Golden eagles may be spotted in the park's diverse habitats, such as the gorges of the Tagus River.
Golden eagles are listed as "nearly threatened" in Spain and "vulnerable" in Andalusia, meaning their population is not large enough to be considered common. Spain has around 1,500 breeding pairs of golden eagles.
