Information: Video showing a clever Jacana dad as he rescues his chicks from the danger of a crocodile. The male Jacana has an ingenious way of hiding the vulnerable chicks from the danger of predators.

The Jacana is also known as the Lilly trotter as the bird spends most of its life on floating islands of lilies. The super-long toes of a jacana spreads the bird’s weight over a large area. This allows the bird to walk across floating vegetation.
