Beautiful Marine life and a surfing penguin in South África!

An inquisitive penguin joins a group of surfers in the ocean off Cape Town in South África. Cinematographer Alan Van Gysen said it was one of the most incredible wildlife encounters he has had in his 25 years of photography. The cute penguin climbs on to the boards of several different people and enjoys the surf as much as they do!

The African penguin (Spheniscus demersus), also known as the Cape penguin, Jackass penguin and black-footed penguin, is the only penguin species which breeds in Africa and is currently listed as being endangered. They are found from the southern Namibian coast to Algoa Bay in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
